This colony is a normal Indo that has been in my tank for over a year. It has ALWAYS stayed open and puffed up. The last several days it has been receded and stressed looking. The only change has been that the polyps on the front bottom left are starting to fuse to the rock that I set the colony on a while back. Will this spreading from one rock to another cause stress? The 2nd PIC just shows some of my other Indo / Non Indo Lords / Micros that are doing fine. Water parameters are stable and have not changes.

I've never had problems when they start to transition to another rock.

But I've had acan/micros go south for no apparent reason. I'm sure there was something but nothing I could figure out.

Stumbles me.

Sometimes when the top/upward-facing polyps of a lord colony start looking stressed (but the sides look fine) it could indicate that they are getting too much light. They can be really fussy about light, I've had some that almost melted under MH. But you said that its been there a while and I'm assuming you haven't gotten new lights, so it might be something else.

I also noticed that you are using epoxy to mount your frags. I have never had any personal experiences/problems, but I've heard people having problems because the epoxy heats up pretty good and can burn the corals from the underside. Of course, this would only apply when the epoxy is curing and is not an ongoing threat. To avoid the issue, I only use super glue "gel." If you haven't recently mounted the piece or changed the lighting, I'm at a loss... but I would trying shading it a bit.
