Acan Lord question....

I have been buying several acan lords and its hard enough to tell the difference from Micromussa and lords however.....I just got one and didnt realize the size of the polyps until I received it!!! Previously I think the largest head was a lil over and inch but this one has several large heads including a head over 2 inches possibly even 2 1/2 inches!! Is this normal for a lord? anyone else have any that size? please help!!! thanks

I have one lord that gets silver dollar-sized polyps, so it is quite normal. Usually, if the polyps are stretched out and look like bowls, it can be an indication that the coral is not receiving enough light. It doesn't hurt the coral any from what I've seen nor does it impede growth either.

Micro polyps, on the other hand, don't look the same as the lord polyps, esp. when inflated. If you'd seen enough, you'd know what I'm talking about.

I just wanted to add a pic to give a better idea.... the guys at the lfs told me they thought it was an acan maxima??? Im not sure but it is the green one in the center (the big mofo)

Ty Ty and I have never seen a maxima in person so I have no clue... I just have quite a few aussie acans with the biggest head being around an inch and this one is 2 inches. I know Cee said the same thing but thought a pic would help
