Acan question

Greetings all and thank you for your view or post.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum but here goes. We have acquired an Aussie Acan and love it. Its purple and green increasing in size almost daily it seems. It was purchased 4 months ago and has grown from 4 heads to a total of 12 with some being as large as a quarter when in full glory.

My question is this. Do all the heads feed the acan or are they individual organisms with individual needs?

Thanks in advance for the help. I apologize if this in in the wrong forum.

Welcome to RC!

Acans are an LPS coral (large-polyped stony coral) you should treat every head as its own organism, I do spot feed each head at least 1 time per week. I feed mysis and Reef Chilli from BRS, (Bulk Reef Supply)

I have a clear tube that I hang over the heads, then I drop food down the tube. That way you target feed easier

you can cut a water bottle of 2 liter bottle top off and squirt food in through the top. this will also help if you have any shrimp or fish that eat the food before the acan gets to.
