Acans and micros

Quote RandyO, "I think there are mainly two types of Micros that made their way to the US. They came from either Japan or Taiwan. The Japanese Micros inflate much larger than the Taiwan Micros. The Japanese Micros also seem to be less common. Most of them can be traced back to the same one or two guys in the states."

I have the same observation. Lords are also not found in Taiwan waters, but in Japan, they're found side by side!?! They don't sting each other

i have a friend who has both the pink lemonades and the pink floyd morphs and both are red to orange in coloration?from what i have read size is not a defining feature when iding beetween the 2 acanz/micros and that the skeleton is the only true way to know?just quoting what ive read.it also seems odd that right when acans became (common?)that the micros started pouring in and they were (rare?) but they were selling micros as big or bigger than some of the lords going around ?im not trying to stur up stuff this is just my 2 cents either way i own and love these corals !!

Yeah people hold on to stuff they think they can make money off of, and if they can then more power to them. Me i wont pay 100+ a polyp. Unfortunately i have to live within my means so i make trades and hagle a little, or wait the craze out. Eventually it will cycle to the next one. Prices usually drop because people start fragging them and growing them and frag swaps are littered with their frags and you can get some nice stuff from locals at a good price. They are out there because those huge colonys that people have i am certain they didnt pay 40-100 a polyp.

All that aside whatcha think? non or indo lord?

Does anyone have pix of the Pink Lemonade or Pink Floyd? And would anyone trade a Pink Lemonade Acro frag for a Pink Lemonade Micro frag. ;-)

I am on the waiting list for the pink lemonade micro, But i'll think i'll pass it off to a friend. I know someone that is trading me when his grows out. I dunno if i like it as much in person as the guys pic on frags.org and tyree's site.
The pink lemonade definately looked orange in person.

Now this micro turned my head!!! Much better looking than the pink floyed or pink lemonade. IMO I am picking it up next week.
Its not my pic, but my frag.:D

Do you know where most of skinnychinaman's came from? I have 4 colonies and they are all very small. Here are a couple poor pix, they are beauties. I also have a couple Lord colonies and the polyps are much larger.

When I first got them -

I believe Anthony's Micros are from Taiwan. I have a bunch of his morphs too. They are very colorful, and grow well. They just don't puff up like some of the Japanse morphs I've seen.

Hey coralcutie,

In my experience, Micros and Lords do not sting each other.

Here are a few cluster shots of my Micros fraternizing with lords.
