I am new to the forum and recently purchased a colony of acans and they are still not open after 2 days any ideas on why?
All my levels are perfect and everything else in the tank looks great

+1^^. Also did you acclimate the acans to your lights? Acans can take awhile to get acclimate to their new surroundings. I would give it a little more time and see how they do.

From my limited experience with my super sensitive Scans wait a good two weeks.

Don't touch them, move them unless they are in a bad spot (too bright spot).

Be patient to not make constant adjustments like I did. Hoping next day or two they would open up.
Those adjustments just made them more closed up.

I finally just left them alone, bottom of tank. Some gentle circulation, and they opened up nice after two weeks of painful waiting.

low flow, low light, give them a couple of weeks as they need to settle to their new surroundings... As anything with this hobby time is greatest tool and let nature do its thing :) Also dont be tempting to move them too frequently, again give them time to adjust. Once they do start to open up but if they dont fully extend move them a little until you find the sweet spot but again give it time in between any changes.

Cheers,
