Accidently broke monti cap

Hello, while cleaning my skimmer I accidentally took out a large piece of my red monti cap colony and a small piece out of my green monti cap colony. I was wondering if it would effect the coral in any such way, and I put epoxy puddy on the broken pieces and secured them to a rock. Is this an acceptable safe way to secure the pieces to a rock. Thanks in advance, I really like both corals and it would be a shame to lose them due to a stupid accident on my part.

It will be just fine, I dont know how many times I have broken my monti. I glue them to plugs and pass them on.

+1 You'll be breaking off pieces soon enough to glue to plugs for people

Thanks for the reassurance guys. It's a shame to look at it since I broke off almost half of the red one but its nice to know it wont effect it in any way

I've superglued them back together before. The cap grew right over the glue in a few weeks such that you couldn't see it had been broken.

find a local reefer, trade it for another color or another coral
