Acclimating clams.

I've got a crocea floating in a bag in my tank that I just brought home. Does anybody have a link or a quick break down of the best way to acclimate my clam? I've never had any luck with croceas so I'm hoping maybe more careful acclimation will help me out. Thanks.

what are your water parameters... most important thing with clams is Calcium and Alk.. what are your levels for those 2 things.... i acclimate a clam like i do fish.. drip acclimate in a bag in the sump until the bag is full then i place it in the tank...

you should be ok alk is a little high but not by much...

keep temp stable and the clam should be fine... i would think..

if you test the water it is in and test your water. the further they are a part the longer/slower you will want to acclimate them. good luck

one more thing, it is more than just calc and alk differences.

drip acclimation has worked for all 5 of my clams... and you need to maintian proper alk and calcium levels.. not acclimate to them.
