Acclimating to saltwater

I am in the process of acclimating a Green Spotted Puffer from freshwater to full marine.

This is my first time doing it. I just couldn't resist buying him from walmart. I felt bad seeing it in that tiny tank next to about ten of it's mates that were already dead.

He is going to go in a 30 - 40 gallon FOWLR tank.

He's been acclimating for about three days now and salt has been increasing. He's at .018 right now and he looks happy still. Hasn't been affected at all.

Any tips or anything I may he doing wrong?

Well, I just read up about these little guys and it seems like a cool fish. My only concern is that they eat snails, fish, and the fins of your larger fish. Not sure what your housing him with but might not be good for a reef tank.

good luck

Yeah. When I first got him he went into my freshwater tank. He mutilated my angels. That's what made me decide to try and switch him to saltwater. I have another puffer in the freshwater one and he's never been aggressive. I feed him snails and sometimes ghost shrimp.

This one will be on his own in the tank and it I'll be FOWLR for that reason.
