I have a Achilles tang it is a juve. It is in my 55 gallon QT tank. The fish started scratching up against the power heads. The next day it was covered with tiny white salt like dots all over body. I had some Pointex by Aquamedic. It is copper. Absolutely Fish recommended this product as it does not require measuring levels. The dose is 10ml every other day for a total of 9 days. On the last day it suggests a 25% water change. This is the third day of the cycle actually second day of medicating. I notice the white dots seem to be more pronounced. The fish does not look terrible. It is swimming and is not breathing fast. I tried feeding some nori. I am not sure if it is hitting it.
Question: Has anyone used Pointex before? My Achilles shares the tank with a pair of baby platinum percula clowns. Fish looked totally happy I have no idea how it got icy. How do I know if this is icy and not velvet?
