achilles with ich

I got an achilles tang over the weekend. I did my research ahead of time and was ready for ich. I was lowering the salinity in the qt tank before the outbreak occured. Now he is covered with it. I just reached 1.009 and was wondering how long it should take before he LOOKS healthy. He is eating (thank god) and swims around with only a little bumping against the pvc pipes I have in there. I also have two powerheads and an airator to help keep him happy.

You should notice a difference in a few days. What are you using to measure salinity? Keep an eye on your pH too as it can drop in lower salinity.

a refractometer. I got it dial in to 1.009 on the $

measure ph daily and buffer it accordingly.

check your alk levels as well.
