Aclimating and pit-stopping with Sps

Hi guys.

I am about to make a larger purchase of both fish and corals for some clients.

Now due to the weather and distance I will have to do the transport in two stages.
Now this means that I will transport the goods from the wholeseller and to my home. Keep them there for a few days and then pack them back up and bring to the last stage to the clients.

The question is this.
I would like to keep my investments on equipment to a minimum, so is it possible for me to just keep the corals under regular T8 lighting for a couple of days or will i need hqi or t5 to keep the corals in good health?

Although I am reluctant to make a pit stop with sensitive corals such as SPS I will have to do this. So is there anything else other than giving them a smooth adjustment to the new water and keeping lighting to a minimum in the first day that I should remember.

I am thinking of keeping the fish and corals in plastic containers (like bedrollers or something similar) with an overflowbox attached and plenty of skimming and filtration through liverock and of course sufficient waterflow in the containers. Can I do this or must I have glass aquariums?

Thanks in advance.

How long do you plan to house them in your systems at home? I would say a day up to three you should be ok with the standard lighting. it isnt sunny on the reef 100% of the time. I would think that the water conditions would be your #1 concern. Do you not have a tank at home? you could use some large totes I guess.
