I drip acclimate all my corals and fish. Not doing so may not outright kill them but it reduces stress to animal. I also add the animal to the tank after lights out when i can to help reduce stress.
I don't water acclimate my Florida ricordea, zoas, palys, only temp acclimate and haven't lost one with 60+ ricordea in my collection.....Not saying you shouldn't just that I don't and have not seen any issues.
