Found this website while searching for acropora aculeus (a beauty) and was fascinated by other pics of corals not commonly found in our hobby. The echinata is very nice. The tenuis is not the same as the ones we see in our hobby. check it out. They are grouped under "staghorn coral."

Ooo, quite nice!.

What ever happened to the AIMS site? That thing was great!

Very cool site, I bookmarked that one for the kids in my class :D.

I noticed the tenuis, green with purple tips was marked as "polyps out" but I could not see any poyps. I also thought the branches were so much thinner than we see in the hobby..very scalloped corallites as well. What a great link...thanks tons :).

I know, that tenuis is really nice. What do you think about the echinata and aculeus? I am now so confused. The ones in the trade look so different from many of those, I think this site's nomeclature is more accurate???
