Acrylic Bracing Questions???

I have a 1/2 inch thick Acrylic tank that was 62x18x24 inches tall. It has overflows on each end. I was planning on using this for a frag tank/anemone tank but I didn't want it so tall. I looked around trying to find a suitable tank and had no luck. So I decided I would cut my tank down to size. I have worked with acrylic for a couple of years at work but we don't build fish tanks and I couldn't build a frag tank for the money I have in this one. My question is what size of euro bracing do I need for a tank that is 14 inches tall by 62 inches long and 18 inches wide. I plan on only running 12 inches of water in it. It also has boxed in overflows on each end. I would include pictures but Fickr is down. Thanks for the help and please ask me any questions that you have.

1/2" thick, 4" wide bracing would work, usually it's made out of a full pc and cut down, but you can add strips for the perimeter, the ghetto way out. If it were me I would cut the overflow boxes out and use one external overflow box on the back side so a little more room. Just hog out a small section out the top of the back about inch wide and add a radius on the corners , then use gutter guard to keep fish and/or snails in

Wow 4 inches? That will only leave a 10 inch opening. How many cross braces one or two?

I read your reply and it didn't speak of any cross braces. Where I'm setting the tank up at it works well with the dual over flows and it would be a lot of extra work for only 8 more inches of tank. Thank you for the idea as I hadn't thought of that.
