acrylic rods for aquascaping

You can also find them on ebay. If they will not be seen, grey PVC rods are great as well and not as ridged/brittle.

You can also use fiberglass rods. I've heard they are more durable than acrylic rods.

They can be had at the big box stores as road/snow markers.

would fiberglass create problems with it sharding apart?

i never seen them but i am just guessing from experience with fiberglass itself.

Depends on how you cut it! :D A hacksaw or dremel do a fine job. The ends should be embedded in the rock anyway.

Also it's a good idea to wear a dust mask and eye protection when cutting, well, just about anything!

I do not recommend acrylic rods for aquascaping, over time they inflate with water and become brittle. Fiberglass rods are by far much, much stronger and far more durable. I use to be a rock maker for reef tanks, and aquascaoed a lot.

I used fiberglass rods and lots of epoxy.....
