acrylic shield for tek light

I didnt want to pay the extra twenty something for the arcylic shield on this light based on people's review.

Is there a place I can buy a sheet of acrylic that can be used for the tek light? Do you think home depot will carry this?

im not positive but i think the acrylic they use has to be able to handle the heat. I'm not sure if the hd acrylic sheets can.

i had a sheet cut at Lowes and it still is holding up under the lights...of course the light has only been in use now for about 1 month

trust me, do yourself a favor, just spring for the sheet. its a pain in the *** to find one and fit it. much easier and less hassle. i pay for convenience.

Yes, I bought the acrylic sheet and it ain't cheap, but not expensive either. The only complaint is that it will warp. Not much, but obvious enough for me to notice it.

hans,

how have the tek reflectors held up? you mentioned you had to keep cleaning them, and others have mentioned the reflectors "stain" and loose their finish. is this true?

how is the shield holding up?

thanks for the time,

nG
