Just get a tube of the "thick" bonding agent. It will bond the peices together without any leaks. They sell it at tulsa plastics. It doesn't look as good as the thin agent, but for my sump I didn't care. Leakproof was more important than professional looking seams. It did take me a while to get all the seams watertight, but it was a really fun project. Pet smiths also has a build your own sump workshop from time to time. That might help you get rolling along as well.
