I put mine together from materials from Tulsa plastics. You can call them and tell them your desired dimensions and they will cut all the peices for you. Bonding it all together is pretty easy. They may also have some designs they can assemble as well. You can contact Wanda@ 918-622-9660.

Gotta agree Tulsa Plastics are a number one ! Why pay for someone to do what ANYONE can do ?

I just dont like acrylic for anything since it is so easy to scratch and sucks to clean. Granted this is for a refuge that will probably not be on display. Plus it is always more expensive then glass and i have seen it craze after awhile.

Remember to get a perfect seal there can be no gaping in between the pieces. When i do acrylic work i use a router and a custom router table which most people do not have or know how to use. Thanks

I would be down with building my own, but have never done it. I've read a little bit about it and I think it would be fun to do, just wouldn't want to screw it up. I'll give her a call and then maybe someone can help me out?

Just get a tube of the "thick" bonding agent. It will bond the peices together without any leaks. They sell it at tulsa plastics. It doesn't look as good as the thin agent, but for my sump I didn't care. Leakproof was more important than professional looking seams. It did take me a while to get all the seams watertight, but it was a really fun project. Pet smiths also has a build your own sump workshop from time to time. That might help you get rolling along as well.
