Acrylic tubing/flat sheet advice please

I am currently in the process of building a large needle-wheel skimmer, and will be building a calcium reactor after that.

I have no issues when it comes to making basic tanks and such, but when it comes to bonding a large tube to a flat surface I am new at the game.

which glue is most effective the syrup kind of the water kind?

I own a CNC router and my plan was to machine down into the flat surface .20 and the width would be the thickness of the tubing wall. then use the syrup type glue to bond.

any feedback would be appreciated

A tube is just like a box without corners, i would use the thin stuff assuming you can make the end flat and square. You really shouldn't have to make a groove in the plate either, unless this is something really tall it won't have that much pressure in it...
