Acrylic?

It looks like I can get a really good deal on an acrylic tank. Do I have to be talked out of it? The scratch issues do worry me. Has anyone had or have one? Would Kole Tangs for instance scratch the inside by scraping algae?

I have heard of people having acrylic tanks and they can easily scratch if you are not careful especially when coralline algae grows along the walls of the tank. The trick to removing the coralline is using a credit card

They are very nice and clear, but scratch terribly over time.
Save up your money and buy a tank with Starfire glass. You'll be glad you did.
