Hi,
I'm <gulp> assuming 1/2" material? can't tell exactly :)

All looks pretty good though I'd make a coupla suggestions:

Make the overflow taller than 3", this will give room for Dursos or other standpipes. The angle you have on the bottom of the overflow won't help much - maybe a little less water in there when cleaning out, but won't hurt either. For the same purpose, I'd recommend simply drilling and tapping an extra 3/4 - 1" hole to remove more sludge. Make sense?

Might make the front flange a little wider if using 1/2" material. While the 3" flange will hold plenty well, the extra beef will keep deflection down to 1/16" or so. Forget this if you are using 3/4" for the vertical panels as 3" would be groovy.

Put larger radii on the top cutouts, maybe 1"+ radius to distribute stresses better.

Everything else looks great - good job :)

HTH?

thanks

thanks

ya 1/2 inch was what i was going with glad to hear you say it should be fine ,only real concern i had was with the back panel overflow slots only having 3 inches material between them but i thank if i round the corner cuts instead of square thay should be fine ,whats your thought on that?. ya i was going to round the top panel cutouts but didnt know how to do it in the 3d program. I was going to go a 6' tank but was thanking that i might have to go up to 3/4 material for it , watch ya thank?

Why not make the overflow 1 single ling slot? The overlfow box itself will stiffen that side. If needed the overflow box could be exteneded from side to side.

It would certainly make the millwork that much easier and provide even better surface skimming and a thinner sheet of water into the overflow.
