Added clown and parameters increased

My tank was showing that it was cycled. Via a mini ammonia cycle after the big cycle. So I went ahead and added a clown and 2 small cerith snails. Over the course of 2 days now the clown seems fine and readily eats but some of the mysis he missed and my ammonia has gone to .25 and my nitrite to 1.0 with nitrate at 5.0. Clown is behaving normally and ate pellets this morning. Should I do a partial water change or wait it out and see if the bacteria knock it out?

I wouldn't panic. How are you testing ammonia? How are things now?

^...also clowns/damsels are hardy and should survive.....the .25.
