Adding an Atlantic Blue Tang to Kole Tang

My tank is approximately 180g with lots of rockswork, cave and holes to swim around. Kole tang has been in my tank for less than one month. Other fish are long bose hawfish, ruby red dragonet and a possum wrasse. Kole tang is about 8 to 9cm long. I bought a smaller Atlanta Blue Tang it is about 6cm and currently in QT. I am aware of the potential aggression between them and hoping to minimize it. Bought some new rocks so on the day of introduction o will change existing live rocks a bit and then add new rocks. Planning on using mirrors trick as well or perhaps even use a tank divider for a while intil they are used to each other. I have searched through the forum but havent found a post about adding atlantic blue tang to an existing kole tang.

Will these two tangs be compatible? Given atlantic size is smaller would the kole tang leave it alone? What other changes in the tank you think i should amend to reduce aggression?

If you can find a acclimation box and put the Atlantic Blue Tang in while in the DT to see how the Kole reacts. If he doesn't act too aggressively, you might be ok. Kole Tangs are considered to be the less aggressive of the Tangs, but I have read some horrible stories about Kole being the dominant fish.

Great idea. How long ahould i keep the Atlantic blurle tang in acclimatization box for ? Wouldnt the bix be so small and stress out the Atlantic blue tang?

I bought a large clear tote that I use for acclimation...

It's more than big enough for most fish. I just leave in there until it looks like everyone doesn't care about the new guy.
