Adding fish to running qt with cupramine

I set up a qt tank and already have fish in it, with cupramine up to the final dose of .5. I'd like to add a few more fish for the purpose of pairing. I'm worried about the cupramine already being at the final dose. Can this be done or will I have to wait until the initial qt is over and do a separate one?

I'd wait too. That's a pretty high dose and might shock a new fish.

That's just the recommended dose as per instructions, but I'll wait.

I agree with the "wait" advice as well. .The 5 ppm is the dosage on the bottle; but the bottle also says to first dose at half this level and wait before bringing up to .50ppm. IMO&IME, a lower dosage is perfectly effective (.3-.4ppm) and I take about 4-5 days to get there. SeaChem has acknowledged that this lower (and safer) dose works well.

I keep Cupramine at .3-.4 for 28 days. The time increase is because of parasites life cycles, not the copper dosage.
