Adding Silicone?

Can you add silicone to a new aquarium to make it less likely to leak? I thought about going over the existing on all of the seams.

new silicone does not bond to cured silicone. to reseal an aquarium, you must strip away old silicone first which means doing the entire tank if you want to be 100% sure it wont leak

Is there any product that can go over cured silicone and acts as a sealant?

Not that is going to be reef safe. If it is a new tank, what makes you so concerned about leaking?
