I have an electronic ballast to run 2 48" T5 HO bulbs. Can I run 4 24" instead. I figure it might overdrive them abit. I'm using them for supplementation.
I can either re mount my 3 MH's to run parallel with the front pane of my tank, and put the T5's in front of them ending up perpendicular to the MH. Or fit 24" bulbs between my 3 MH's so that all bulbs are perpendicular to the front pane.
The draw back I see to putting them between the MH's is the bulbs will be right above the 2 cross braces on my 6' tank. If I Turn my MH's I'll have to put them a little farther back than halfway across the tank. Which one of these drawbacks is worse is what I'm basically debating at this point.
