Water changes should do the trick. Live rock needs time to 'cure' before it goes directly into the display tank....alternatively, put all live rock in tank and cycle the tank that way. Then add fish after tank is cycled. Google live rock curing...its esssetially die off of stuff on the rock...

Rock's were out of a big shark tank but have been cycling in my 475g w/o fish for a few weeks now. Hope to have the rest of my sump in 2 weeks to finally get it up and running. I think I only added 150 ish lbs of LR rock to the tank, I hope to get some more in the next week from someone local who is downsizing their tank.
