ADG 6' X 3' X 3' client installation

Being a client tank, we have to make the compromises on the coral species opting for hardy and readily available species that will have an impact in a shorter time frame. So while this is not the height of technical achievement to keep most of these species, we do try and put some emphasis on composition, layout, and design.

Very nice! That's the idea I went with on my 240- Simple, common but colorful stuff that looks great collectively but may be too common to make their way into the palate of an established reef tank.....

my comppliments on a beautiful reef tank. can you give some particulars of the system? how do you keep the back so clean? I will use your aquascaping ideas in my new tank of similar size and shape. I will have a black acrylic back and struggling with a method to keep it clean. TIA

Absolutely beautiful! You dont need a SPS only tank to show off how beautiful a reef tank can be. Gotta love the 3' wide tank for aquascapping. I just scrapped the back of my black background tank and vowed to keep it clean.

Jeff, good looking tank as always. Love seeing your works of art. You should post a picture of your store. It's like a museum and I can never get tired of visiting ADG. Sometimes I feel that most people miss the important things (layout, coral species, fish selection, etc) of creating a reef tank which in the end makes the tank looks 100 times better and more presentable. Your one of those exceptions! Keep up the good work. And by the way, I still need to finish up the stand design through you guys. I haven't forgot.

Any word on the Biomatix ever being released? How is it working out for your clients?

I love how the corals fill the tank up on the sides but it doesn't look like a "wall o rock" can you do a topdown picture so we can see how that look was achieved?

reefkoi-- sorry, but no top down shot on this one-- it's on the 50th floor of a major downtown skyscraper, and access is limited for me with the camera.

No updates on BioMatix at his time, invincible569.

Particulars on the system are pretty boring-- just the usual stuff-- skimmer, chiller, lots of light (250 halides and VHO/PC flourescents--all kind of "been there, heard that" stuff really.

As for the background, we just make sure to wipe/scrape it every week-- don't ever let it get dirty and then it's always quick and easy to keep clean.
