adjust pH of TO H2O?

I was wondering if the pH of top off H2O should be adjusted to that of the tank. My RODI H2O pH is around 6.0 and the tank doesn't maintain a pH above that of the newly mixed H2O for water changes ( +/- 8.2) for more than a day. Tank drops to about 7.7. (alkalinity is about 8.5 dKH.) Or is this normal?

Don't worry about your topoff water... Unless you're adding 5 gallons of topoff at a time, it won't affect your parameters... But if you let it get that low, your salinity and everything else would be affected too...
