I have set-up a 30 gal oceanic cube just for a pair mated true percs. Since there are no other fish in the tank only some corals would the mom & dad percs eat there young?

thanks,

danny

The clowns & corals will eat the young. If your asking if any fry will survive in your main tank, no I'm sorry they will not.

if your interested in raising them a great resource would be joyce wilkersons book on raising clownfish. I've never raised clowns before but I believe you will want to get your rotifer culture going before attempting to raise the fry.

Good luck :)

Another book you should read is Frank Hoff's book on clownfishes. He is one of the real pioneers of the hobby and this book can really be helpful in trouble shooting.

Breeding clownfish is a little labor intensive and takes a while to get a feel for what you are doing. I have raised a couple batches of percula clowns it is definately worth it. I think I have really grown a lot as a hobbyist from it.
