Advice for someone wanting to get into SW

I have been in FW for about a year and had been satisfied but I went to Kona Grill this weekend and their 1500 gallon saltwater tank got me interested. I have done a bunch of research and the thing that is keeping me from getting into the hobby is the cost. Does anyone have any tips on getting equipment for a bargain or any tips in general? thanks

find what you want and wait for one to come up on the rc selling forum. You will save a lot of money vs. Buying retail.

Base rock, washed silicate sand from lowe's, used skimmer that is oversized, used lights, a drilled tank and good friends to help you out.

Ebay, message boards (reefcentral, PA, Indmas), Craigslist, etc. Check the LFS's for sales.

I bought a lot of my stuff either used or discounted.
