We just received some chaeto in the mail. It was supposed to be loaded with pods, but the post office delayed delivery and although the chaeto is still nice and green and the water it shipped in was just a pale green, all the pods in the chaeto are dead. It certainly was loaded with pods at one time!! I swished out the chaeto in clean sw and put it in the qt tank hoping to clean more of the crud out of it before putting it in the fuge. Every few hours I have been going in and shaking it around in the qt tank and now the water is really cruddy. I vacummed out most of the detritous, but the chaeto still has a lot of crud in it. I just made up fresh sw this morning and not sure if it will be ok to use this newly prepared water to really clean the chaeto out so I can put it in the fuge. Anyone have any suggestions? Can I use this newly prepared water as long as sg is ok?
