Advice on building a refugium

I have my IM 10 gallon fusion tank up and running now, I'm very interested in building a refugium but just want to hear opinions on it and to be honest I'm not sure where to start. Please help thank you!!

lots of rocks, some kind of macro algae, and grow lights. anything 5000k-6500k.

lights can be set on 24hrs a day or opposite hours from your display tank lighting. I let mine run for about 18hrs a day.

How big should the refugium be?

it depend on what your goal is for your refugium.. general rule is the bigger the better.

for a 10gal display tank, imo, a refugium won't do anything. Unless you have a hidden 50gal fuge or something. It won't provide enough pods for any pod demanding fish. The small chaeto won't provide much nutrient export either.

it does add total water volume to your tank, that's a beneficial part

but definitely wait and hear some other's expert opinions on this..
