Advice on building stand for 300 gallon

I'm about to start building the framing for a 300 gallon acrylic tank. 96x24x24. Dual corner overflow boxes. I've built stands before for a lot smaller tanks, but I just need some suggestions before I start. In the past I've made the frame of stand the same measurements as the footprint of the tank, but with the dual overflow boxes there will be clearance problems with the bulkheads and such.

Any suggestions on building the framing? Can I just make the frame a bit larger than the footprint of the tank so there's room to adjust the bulkheads later? I'll be placing ply board on top so that should distribute the weight evenly anyways, right?

You wont have to if you use pocket holes, the inner legs on rockets design is used as a post to screwvin the real supports. You can then make gussets (triangles) to add extra support.

96 x 24 x 24 = 240 gal tank…. (i have one hahah)

my stand is an oak stand made by DAS "Dutch Aquarium Systems"

its made from 3/4" plywood on the sides and back, and the front is a frame and panel design with 3/4" solid oak framing with pocket holes attaching the whole thing.

i got my tank used and came from a university in Oklahoma City… then moved to my house and been running for years.

3/4" plywood is plenty strong.
the tank is made from 1/2" glass too. so its a little heavy, but because yours is acrylic, you will need a few more cross braces before topping it with a sheet of plywood.
