Advice on wrasses please

I have a 45 gallon with about 40lbs of rock. Livestock includes a pair of clowns, mandarin and a solar wrasse. I'm looking to add an exquisite and naoko.

1) will they get along?
2) will space pose a problem?

I hate to break it to you, but a 45 is pretty small for those wrasses. Your solarensis wrasse will eventually outgrow your tank too. They all get to approximately 5 inches each and need more space to swim. I'd avoid adding the two wrasses you're looking at and reconsider the solarensis that you already have.

Hmm ok I'll hold off on the other wrasses until my other tank finishes cycling. Thanks!

Better choices for the 45 might be a Lubbock's fairy, or one of the flasher wrasses. They stay closer to 3", and are generally pretty peaceful.

Better still might be a possum wrasse!

~Bruce, also beginning work on a bigger tank to hold more wrasses!
