I killed ALL that Coral!
Looking for feedback. I need to have some cabinets painted in the same room as my SPS tank. Oil based lacquer will be used, what precautions would be recommended? thanks!

As the label says. Just be sure you have great ventilation and even then... man I don't know? I would cover whole tank and sump with a tarp (i do this when i am using carpet fresh and vacuuming but even then you'll be able to smell that lacquer for weeks in there. Know this probably didn't help.

I plan on tenting it, skimmer off and a fresh load of carbon. I also run an outside air pump. Just curious if there's anything I'm over looking.

I don't know. If you have a established SPS tank I'm not sure I'd even risk the possibility of disaster. Can you not change your mind and stain with something a bit less toxic or invasive? Just curious .

Professional painter, calls it a "modified oil base" cleans up with water. Passed the point of no return now, $3500 in cabinets, not cutting corners on paint. I'm in CA too, so we can keep the windows open with no problems for a week.
