Advice Tank leak

kross

I am having an issue on my 150 Gallon Glass Tank about 12 years old where I am seeing water seeping from what looks like the bottom of the tank through the plastic lip that surround the bottom of the tank. I do not see any cracks, but can not locate where it coming from. I am losing about 1 gallon a day.

Not sure how I should proceed on trying to fix the issue?

Thanks in Advance

I am not very experienced, but I got scared straight by another guy on here whose tank failed not a pretty picture. I would say not take a chance and get a new tank before something catastrophic happens.
Sorry if not very helpful and I feel for you, I thought I had a crack the other day its I was a wreck till i figured it out that it was glue.Good luck

Drain the tank ASAP. Put all your critters into some temporary rubbermaid tubs. Irregardless of if you get a new tank, or try to repair this one, it can't be done full of water. I'd do it now before it gets worse.

Ok, What do I do with the Sand, do I also place it into buckets and the rubber maid containers? My concern is the nitrate bloom on moving the sand? Or do I just put all the rock and coral in the rubber main and sand in the others? I have my QT tank up and can put some stuff in their also. I assume the tank will bloom when the new tank is put int?

And thanks again.
