AEFW help!

Well, i saw a big white spot right under my green table arco then i pulled it out and dip it. guess what?? lots of FW coming off!
So i guess i have to do Flatworm Exit for my whole system? what do u guys think?

if your sure there FW the yes, follow the direction and make sure you have mixed water for a last min water change. Flat Worm Exit is the product good luck. Next time dip your corals it will save you from losing coral and do this BS

Flatworm exit doesnt work for AEFW. You have a few options but none are pretty. You can do the following.

1. Live with AEFW in DT tank and try basting infected corals so AEFW blow off and get eatin by fish.

2. Find fish that eat AEFW ( corris wrasse)

3. Remove all acropora to a QT tank and repeat dips in lugols, revive, tcpmm etc. Place dipped corals back in DT after a few weeks. 2-4

4. Remove all acropora and start over completely.

I actually took option 4. Make sure to keep your DT acro free for a while. I hear AEFW life span is 2 weeks with no food source but never confirmed this myself. I left my DT acro free for four weeks. Unless you remove all acropora from your DT, you will never get rid of these little bastards. So far so good for me.

To remove all of them is just too much work for me since this is a 3 years grown display. I have 90% sps and most of the live rocks covered by them.
i've thought to add couple of green corris wrasse. Heard they are doing pretty good job for FW.
Guess i'll have to try #1.

fish will never rid your tank completely, FW are very small and hide in SPS. take a turkey baster and squirt each coral to blow them off, as you do this your fish will eat them. You will have to do this a lot and im not convinced it will get them all. FWE is a proven product if you follow the instructions.

I take the baster approach and haven't seen a FW in my tank for quite a while, I know several people that have rid their tanks of AEFW by being diligent.

AFA FWE, are you suggesting the OP use the product for AEFW? If so you need to do a little research before recommending something that does not work, misinformation is a bad thing...

I would recommend yellow coris or melanurus wrasse. If you see recession at the base look for the green eggs so you can scrub them off.
