This is my most prized coral. Yes the middle is deep purple with metallic yellow/green on branches and tips. Some polyps are purple while others are green. Under actinic the yellow turns orange! I purchased this maricultured piece from LiveAquaria DD about 9 months ago. Definitely has the makings of an LE coral
