Ahoy, what's the noise coming from the glass-holes overflow like? You also mentioned that you wished it was a little longer for your tanks needs. Are you not getting enough surface skimming from it? I'm about to order one in a couple of days. Do you have any other comments (good or bad) about it. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

really im saying that because my tank is set up peninsula style and being 4 feet long i just think it should of been longer. if it were in the middle of the tank on the long side i think it would be more effective but then i wouldnt have a penninsula lol. it just looks that way because the box is so small in comparison to the the rest of the tank and also to the standard all-glass overflows.

as far as sound it doesnt gurgle at all or suck loudly at all. my pump is pushing about 500 gph through the whole system which is about 4x turnover. i would say if you followed the 3-5x turnover rule of thumb you will be okay. if you plan on using it on the 40 breeder you listed in your current tanks than im sure it will work well. overall the box is built solid and i think its a good all-in-one kit. it hasnt leaked a drop (knock on wood) and their customer support seems to be very good on their website. they also incluse detailed plans in the kit and the website which is great.

ahoyahoy, how far would the tank have to sit away from the wall if the glass-hole overflow was up against the wall? would you say the overflow is as quiet as the regular overflows found in prebuilt tanks?

Minimum 4" on my tank, i have unions on the drain just below the elbows so that i could take everything apart. it would be a little less without the unions.

as far as sound i would say its as quiet if not more so than my old 92 corner

Very nice angel, and keep an eye on that pocillapora and make sure it doesn't spawn in your tank. that's something that you DEFINITELY don't want to deal with, or you'll have Pocillapora growing EVERYWHERE (like I do now).

lol i think mine spawned though its been a while and no signs of any growing anyplace....yet
