Hi. I've just started cycling my tank (1 week) and I already have 2 aiptasia on my live rock! What should I do? (It's on one base rock glued in so can't take it out). Help!!

.....Because you probably have more.

The boiling water and hydrogen peroxide in a syringe trick works as well... But Aiptasia-X is probably the best, most effective way. Don't be discouraged, this is only one of many bumps in the road to come... But overcoming them and having long-term success is part of what makes this hobby so rewarding and fulfilling :)

I would get a peppermint shrimp before I used any chemicals but that's just me being a freak. I had a small outbreak and a week later they all disappeared like magic.

I used to be overrun with Aiptasia. I tried everything. Kalk paste, Joe's Juice, Aiptasia-X, Lemon Juice, Boiling Water. They always came back stronger than ever.

I was starting to think that Joe's Juice and Aiptasia-X were actually food.

Anyway, I added two peppermint shrimp and after a week, they had almost completely annihilated them. It was insane. They even got to the ones on the lettuce clip, which is nowhere near a rock. It took about 2 weeks for them to completely rid the tank of them, but I haven't seen one in months.

Those little buggers are worth their weight in gold. I don't know how they did it, but it was awesome.
