Aiptasia question

I recently purchased a Capnella sp. soft coral attached to an aragonite plug and it appears that one or possibly two very small aiptasia anemones are on the plug and/or between the plug and the coral. Anyone have a good suggestion as to how to kill these buggers? The coral is still in QT, btw. Thanks for any help.

I would try and scrub the rock with a soft tooth brush or something similar and then do a fresh water rise. Keep the coral in Qt until you are sure it is all gone b/c once you get it, it is near impossible to get rid of

I don't have much experience "man-handling" soft corals -- do I need to worry about exposing the Capnella to the air and/or the fresh water? (if the answer with regard to the air is "no" then only the base/stalk would likely be a concern with regard to the fresh water.) And can I do the fresh-water rinse w/ "straight" RO/DI water, or do I need to adjust pH somehow?

I had one on the same rock with Green Star Polyps and I injected it with distilled vinegar. I bought a Joe's Juice Injector for $3 - $4 and the vinegar worked like a charm.
