Aiptasia?

I had hundreds of them in my 20 gallon. Matted filefish ate every last one of them in 4 weeks. Can't find a single aptiasa now.

I use aiptasia-x. Seems to work OK. The main thing is to be persistent and diligent. I attack as soon as I see one. It may take a couple tries to wipe it out. I havent had to try an animal yet, but I would not hesitant if Im losing the battle.

Does your file fish eat regular food when the aiptasia is gone ? Any trouble with it picking at other corals ?

Can I use shelf stable lemon juice from the store for aiptasia? Or would any preservatives in it mess my tank up?

Aiptasia x has done a good job for me. I hunt them at least every other day. I am seeing less and less of them.

I use all natural Lakewood cold press lemon juice. It is pure 100% lemon juice, no preservatives. I am sure lemon concentrate will work just as well.

I also read that peppermint shrimp were good aptaisia control. That's why I got my 4. And you do have to watch out for camel shrimp, they look pretty close to peppermint twins 0.0
