Got my pump in, maybe overkill but with all the plumbing I'll have with the manifold and other stuff it will handle it fine. Plus I can always dail it back.

After seeing videos on YouTube and other builds the Apex was a must have on the list. There will be a bit It of a learning curve but I think I can handle it. Plus there's tons of info with their forums and YouTube.

Ha! Good question Im mid build right now and trying to decide if I want to go manifold or separate pump for reactors etc...

I didn't do one for my current system and regret it. Sump space get taken up very quickly adding all those pumps.

Ordered a reactor from Avast Marine but came in cracked that's to the USPS.

Thats a good point about sump space.
Avast makes great stuff. Their ATO works awesome but doesnt get any notoriety.
Yea, shipping is rough. I had UPS break 4 items in the past month!

I was considering the reactors from Avast but I felt that changing media would be a lot easier with the BRS inserts so I went with those.

I currently run the BRS Reactors but my GFO or the Bio Pellets that I will be running on this tank tumble well. So BRS for carbon and bio pellets for the Avast Marine reactor. Thining about getting their Kalk Stirrer
