i bought an anemone about 3 months ago and he was a great red colour with yellow tips and he hid into the rocks for a long time but after the third week i dicided it had been long enough so i dug him and he was completly bleached out and only one tenticle left with no colour except for the very tip it had some colour left.......................my dad thought we should dispose of it but i thought because it still had some zooxanthellae left the colany would grow rapily with a few feedings.......it has now been about 2 months and he has nearly got all of his tenticles back but his base is bleach out and his tenticles have turned fluro red with yellow tip... Does anyone thikn he will go back to his normal state??

I actually thought that anemone had died because soon after the Feb. picture it disappeared. Naturally it reappeared in late May after I bought a replacement. It is growing very rapidly and gaining more color weekly now that my tank is stable and it is happy with the light and flow it is getting.

I bought it when my tank was too young and because it didnt like my water it wandered and got itself into one of my powerheads multiple times (I would turn the ph off, it would settle into a spot, I would think it was happy and turn the ph back on, and it would let go when I wasnt around and end up in the strainer).

yes eventually it will return to its original state. Just give it some TLC and good lighting, preferably metal halide or T5 and regular feedings

yeah i got 14k MH but im gettin 21k MH this week so it should be getting some good light. And my female false clown is hosting it now so me and her will nurse it back to health slowly
