Algae and Red LED

I have a 140 gallon cube with 2 of the following fixtures over it:

Is it possible that the RED LED's in these fixtures is causing an algae outbreak? I think that may be the case as every time I turn on the white fixture that includes Red LED's, a few days later I start to see algae growing on the sand and rock. Should I look for a different fixture or does it make sense to cover the red LED's with electrical tape?

Thanks

I don't have any firsthand experience, but I've definitely heard that red can cause issues in too large of quantity. If you're otherwise happy with the light, perhaps try covering the reds with something (not sure what) for a week or two to see if there is any difference in algae growth
