Algae Bleeny looks skinny.

I have had an algae bleeny in my 75 for a few months now and hes getting skinny. Not much algae for him to eat and I want to know what I can feed him to supplement. Algae pellets? I dont want to start problems in my tank but I think I have to do something soon or he's gonna starve. What should I do?

Algae wafers, seaweed, or lettuce. It shouldn't be a problem as long as you don't over feed.

just plain old lettuce? tear it up and toss it in? do I have to make it sink or anything?

rubber band it to a rock for him. Also go to some of the asian stores and see if they have any unseasoned seaweed. Works great.

Just as a heads up - I had an algae blenny for about 8 months, who just died this week. He was rail thin, and I have PLENTY of algae around, plus the seaweed for the tangs, and he just wasted away.

I googled how to make him eat, or looked for some causes, and found that a real lot of people experience the algae blenny just deciding not to eat anymore, and no one knew why. It was real sad losing him, but it seems to be kind of common that sometimes they just stop eating out of nowhere.

I hope thats not the case with yours, but wanted to give you a heads up.
