algae growing in refugium?

I upgraded and added a refugium about 20 days ago, along with an eshoppes LED on a timer. The chaeto is growing at an amazing rate. However, the sides of the refugium are building up an orange film. Is this natural? Should I clean it off?

That's where you want all the ugly stuff to grow... If you clean it it might start growing in your display tank

Sweet. I knew the chaeto would live off the bad junk in the tank, but didn't realize it would 'cultivate' it. Pretty amazing.

I'm not saying don't ever clean it,I would probably clean it twice a year.. but that is the right place for stuff like that to grow
