hi, im slowly stocking my tank with coral and everything is just going swimmingly.
i have been doing research on different corals that i want and i came across one of my favorites at the lfs. its a green polyping toadstool leather but the one at the store has something that looks like algae growing on the stalks. i cant find anything that looks like it online.. the best way i can describe it is almost like brownish red scales. everything else about the coral looks healthy. good polyp extension and color.
i really like the frag and i think i might be able to haggle the price down a bit but i wanted to see if anyone has ever had this problem before? is it just shedding? i dont wanna get it if its not healthy.

I get that often only on my toadstools. Usually just a lack of flow in that area. They are one of my favorite corals too. I have 4 of them in my 180.
