Algae harvest from Refugium

How often and how much algae should be harvested from my refugium to prevent the algae from releasing nutrients into the tank?

Hey Bob, I would let it grow out to the point it is touching all sides of the area you give it to grow, then you can trim it back just enough that you will have to trim in a few weeks again. the more you have, the more it it utilizing the nitrate and phosphate from your water.
