Algae on Frags

First time I have algae growing thu the zoo polyps on a half dozen frag plugs. My tank is practically algae free, Besides the normal clean up crew that is not working, is there a zoo safe algae killer that can be used as a dip?
I actually put some of the effected frags in a vented sealed cup with a emerald crab and then with turbo snails and they did not touch the growth, perhaps the zoos toxins are deterring them.

try placing the frags in a dark place so they only get a little actinic. The zoas will outlast the algae by a long time. Once the algae is gone you will have to start the zoas in low light. All the better if you have some algae eaters and keep the zoas on the sandbed/bottom when in darkened spot.
Note that once the algae LOOKS to be gone, you will still need to wait a week at the least because ut can come back. If you don't have a tank algae problem then this should take care of it. If you are having algae elsewhere you will need to correct parameters in the meantime.

I am going to PM you on some lobsters.
Try increasing the flow and running some extra carbon with GFO. good luck

And it might not be a bad idea to replug the zoas if possible. I have found some plugs to give me problems with algae, seems if I recall they were aragonite.

The peroxide dip I am considering, rough on the zoos. No dark spots, the way the tanks are set up, t-5s, very little shade. and yes, aragonite plugs from Boston aqua farms, but this happens so infrequently, maybe 1 or 2 out of 100, do not think that the plug is it.
I still may try some algae killer as a dip, I have not read any thing on it, perhaps ill come up with something new. Worst case i could lose some frags. geoxman, sorry, out of the business now or I would take care of you. Thanks Guys.
